My forge won't stay lit when I release the flame failure device (FFD/safety valve)
Make sure the tip of the thermocouple is being licked by the flame and that the chimney is clear.
Make sure the thermocouple has been fastened finger-tight into the interrupter block and that the interrupter block has been fastened finger-tight into the FFD (safety valve).
If the forge still isn’t working, remove the interrupter block and thermal sensor leads and screw the thermocouple directly into the FFD (finger-tight).
If still unsuccessful, replace the thermocouple, interrupter block, thermal sensor and leads with new parts.

My twin-burner forge is popping. Why?
Your burners have probably worn out and need to be replaced.
My forge doesn't run very well first thing in the morning and/or in cold weather. Why is this?
This can be caused by gas turning back into a liquid in the pipework the last time you used it. To avoid running problems like this, turn the gas off at the bottle and let the remaining gas burn off in the forge at the end of your last appointment of the day.
My forge won't ignite the gas?
- Clean the gas jet.
- If the problem persists, remove the top unit and make sure there’s a spark inside the burner.
- If still unsuccessful, replace the ignition system.
